We spent most of our time in the bus, leaving PP at 8.30 am and arriving in Siem Reap at about 3 pm. The bus was pleasantly air-conditioned, comfortable with cambodian soap on the tele.
The arrival in Siem Reap was greeted by the extremely annoying “Tuk Tuk” drivers. They were everywhere and blocked us from exiting the bus and getting our luggage. The church sent their worship leader and a new Toyota Hiace to transport us around Siem Reap. After an hour of rest at the hotel, we headed for another medical screening.
The medical screening was done in the evening, and we raced against the setting sun. We lost and had to do some of the medical and children’s ministry in the dark. It was really fun with the kids as they knew our action songs well. The kids themselves performed 3 songs for us as a “reward” for our performance.
It was an early night for us as we would be heading to the floating school tomorrow.
